I run

To close the tap, to turn the knob
To catch a bus
To meet a deadline
Beat the competition
I run to be ahead
I run & I run & I run
There comes a time when there is no need to run anymore
& yet I find myself running
I run ‘coz I have been running
Coz I can’t stop
Probably coz I’m afraid of a halt or slowing down now
May be coz I don’t know how it would be if I stopped
The thought is scary
And so I run
Keep running
Until another such thought hits
and I beat it with my speed
